## Legend
- π’ Praise
- π΅ Opinion/suggestion
- π‘ Minor issue
- π Major issue
- π΄ Breaking issue
## Issues and remarks
- π‘ Issues with fullscreen on Itch.io
Reported separately and that's more Unity/Itch issue than an issue with the game.
- Menu
- π’ Great music!
- π’ I like the white noise effect - something I should try out myself.
- π‘ Small glitch when moving the mouse on the main screen. Moving the mouse over certain X positions causes a pink line to appear at the right side of the orb.
![[Pasted image 20260107222416.png]]
This could be a WebGL issue.
Might be hard to notice, so reported it separately with a video.
- π‘ Settings dialog title text isn't clean. It looks like maybe the text once had a shadow which is maybe floating on top of the title and isn't animated.

- In game
- π’ Very nice art
- π‘ Red lines surrounding the dialogue box
At first I thought this was a weird design choice, but it makes more sense that this is a visual glitch. WebGL again?

- π΅I kinda don't like it that I can get stuck with `x.02` points
![[Pasted image 20260107230727.png]]
Because the values are big and the decimal point hardly matters, maybe better not to show it?
- When I got enough points for the upgrade inside the mini orb, no notification bubble?
![[Pasted image 20260107231438.png]]
- π΅ I tried to drag this screen for almost a minute before realizing I had to use the right mouse click. Maybe the middle click could also be used for dragging?
![[Pasted image 20260107232250.png]]
- π I assume the lines on the Devotion Mastery Tree define the dependency between the options? But I'm able to skip options. If this is a bug, it's probably a bigger one.
![[Pasted image 20260107233009.png]]
- π΅ Can't put cultists in their relax room?
- π΅ Not sure if the library room is a puzzle...
- π΅ This door is clickable, but nothing happens. Assuming WIP, but mentioning it just in case. Same in the kitchen.
![[Pasted image 20260107234324.png]]
- π‘ "Click the orb 1K times" is before "Click the orb once" in the achievents list
![[Pasted image 20260107234808.png]]
- π‘ Similarly to the red border around the dialogue box, achievements have a yellow/white border around them. I'm assuming it's a bug, because it's very thin and doesn't match the rest of the pixel art style.
- π‘ Similarly to the button borders, the trophy room NPC dialogue box has a thin border... There seems to be a thicker border as the dialogue box fades away.
![[Pasted image 20260108010046.png]]
![[Pasted image 20260108010128.png]]
- π’ Funny sounds from the trophy room NPC.
- π’ Music behind achievement points! In most games achievement points are useless - this is great!
- π‘ Sometimes cultists stop channeling... not in the mood?
Whatever the case, if you then drag another cultist the the life crystal, the new cultist it will jump on the same platform as the lazy one.
![[Pasted image 20260108001232.png]]
![[Pasted image 20260108001418.png]]
- π‘ "+10% Experience Orb10 X Chance" - Not sure what that means π
, typo or missing punctuation maybe?
![[Pasted image 20260108002836.png]]
- π‘ If you don't collect experience orbs for a while, click for 100k+ worth of orb points, the game starts getting 1sec freezes, at least in the browser - music keeps playing without interruptions.
- π΅ This was supposed to take 20 minutes... After playing for 2h 40m (including writing the notes), I guess I could have stopped way earlier.
Wasn't able to get the secret achievement. I assumed it would be related to the portal somehow, but wasn't able to figure it out.
- π‘ Gaps between rippling texture tiles - not sure how Unity works, but maybe it's possible to apply rippling to the parent object, not individual tiles?
![[Pasted image 20260108010533.png]]
- π‘ Pressing the Boom Box Player's Play button, pauses music instead of "play" - If it was a βΈ or βΉ button, I would expect the music to pause/stop.
Also the currently playing and Boom Box Player controls disappear.
I would expect to see the controls even when the music isn't playing and especially a button to start the music again.
![[Pasted image 20260108011228.png]]
![[Pasted image 20260108011257.png]]
- π΅ Slanted or slightly rotated textures should maybe be anti-aliased? For example the Boom Box Player's title box has this floating animation. But, at least in my opinion, it creates this stepping effect that doesn't match the pixel ratio of the rest of the UI, so it looks weird. But that's just me and it might be technically difficult to apply anti-aliasing selectively only for those kinds of UI elements.
## Summary
Beautiful art and BGM (although after playing it for 3h, the music gets a bit too repetitive, even with alternative compositions).
Lots of attention to fun little details, like dripping candles or lowering the BGM while focusing on the book case.
I know the game isn't finished, but I wasn't sure what I should achieve to consider the alpha version completed. So, eventually, around 2 hours in, I was getting bored and started performing my own rituals...

The mysterious and funny little demon makes me want to know what happens next with the story.
I wish I had played the full game - Wishlisted on steam and waiting for the release!
